If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you., The Professional Standards Team within the Medical Directorate is seeking to recruit a Band 4 Business Support Assistant to join the team in supporting the delivery of our statutory function as set out under The National Health Service (Performers Lists) (England) Regulations 2013 and The Medical Profession (Responsible Officers) (Amendment) Regulations 2013
The Professional Standards Team lead the improvement and development of systems and processes to support NHS England's responsibility to manage the National Performers Lists. The National Performers Lists provide the regulatory framework to ensure that medical, dental and ophthalmic practitioners who contract with NHS England to provide Primary Care Services are qualified and competent to provide safe and effective primary medical, dental and ophthalmic services to NHS patients. NHS England has a statutory responsibility to respond to concerns raised about a GP, dentist or ophthalmic performer on the National Performers Lists.
The Business Support function within the Professional Standards Team provides broad administrative support across a range of programmes of work., The Business Support Assistant's day to day to role will include dealing with incoming emails, responding to queries, organising various governance meetings, taking and producing minutes of meetings, organising annual appraisals and preparing revalidation evidence for medical practitioners, processing performers lists applications from medical, dental and ophthalmic practitioners, supporting case managers, clinical advisors and investigators, supporting the Regional Dental Leads & Dental Managed Clinical Network Chairs, dealing with confidential and sensitive communications, and corresponding with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis., We are passionate about creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity.
