Full Job Description

The successful candidate will work within the Corporate Safeguarding Team providing an effective and efficient business support function to the Head of Safeguarding and Assistant Director of Nursing and Safeguarding.

The post holder will display a considerable degree of initiative and judgement, apply a high degree of confidentiality and promote the values of partnership working, both with other professionals and colleagues as well as external agencies.

They will also be required to enable the University Health Board (UHB) participation in Daily Discussions and Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) meetings across the region to safely manage high risk victims of domestic abuse., Provide and coordinate effective secretarial and administrative services, preparing agendas and minute taking, meeting co-ordination, maintenance of action logs, and proactively monitoring follow up actions.

Develop and maintain information systems, eg. Databases, work plans on behalf of the safeguarding team and throughout the wider team where appropriate.

Provide project support during the development of strategic plans and operational policies and procedures for safeguarding across the Health Board.

Attend MARAC meetings when delegated on behalf of the Corporate Safeguarding Team ensuring the sharing of proportionate information to inform multi-agency risk assessment and management plans for high risk victims of domestic abuse and follow up actions.

Co-ordinate the administration processes to ensure that any domestic incidents are recorded in Health Board systems and high risk incidents are flagged in accordance with the Health Board procedures.
