Full Job Description

We are looking for a Business Support Manager to join the team in the Chief Executive's Office at the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH). This is a new permanent role, bringing together a new team with a new approach to providing administrative support across the organisation., You will lead RSH's administrative support team so that we have the right administrative support in place across all directorates. This includes PA support for Executive team colleagues, ensuring best practice is shared effectively across RSH and that administrative support colleagues have appropriate development opportunities. It also includes providing line management in a matrix structure for Administrative Support Officers and PAs., You will have experience of leading and managing business support functions, including developing colleagues, alongside hand-on experience in delivering effective administrative to teams and PA support to senior individuals., We carry out anonymous shortlisting as part of our commitment to Equality and Diversity and ensuring a fair and consistent approach to recruitment.

Alongside your practical skills, you will have excellent influencing, negotiating and problem-solving skills and be comfortable working flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues across the whole organisation.

This role can be based out of any of RSH's core offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol. Our Manchester office will be relocating during 2024/25, however will remain within the city centre. We offer a range of flexible working arrangements and staff can benefit from working from home for part of their hours. Most roles involve some travel within England between our offices, with some roles also involving onsite visits to social housing providers.

The salary for this role is a spot salary within the given range, which will normally be the minimum of the range. There is no incremental progression through a pay scale. Annual salary reviews are determined by the government pay award. In addition, when the probation period is successfully completed, a performance related bonus may be awarded, based on appraisal ratings at the end of the qualifying appraisal year.
