Do you have a passion for helping people? Do you enjoy working in fast paced roles? Are you organised and able to prioritise and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously? If so, we are looking for a Business Support Officer to be based in our Sevenoaks district.

The role will have a contractual base within the Swanley area but there is an expectation that you will be able to travel and work flexibly across the District to cover at other Family Hubs the district on occasion.

We are looking for someone to support a range of busy family hubs, greeting, welcoming and signposting families.

You will be a self-motivated and organised person, looking for a development opportunity to join the Business Support Team. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and financial support to assist in the efficient running of Family Hubs within West Kent.

You will work closely with the Business Support Lead and District Manager and will be responsible for planning and coordinating meetings, diary management, minuting, booking venues and monitoring and supporting financial processes.

This is a varied and challenging post and requires someone with excellent organisation and communication skills and previous administrative experience. You must be able to proactively manage your workload and support the wider team, whilst responding to urgent requests and deadlines.

You will be required to act confidently as the first point of contact for staff, visitors and partners and support the opening and closing of hubs as required.

You will be confident in liaising with families, colleagues, and professionals within a multi-agency environment.

You will possess excellent IT skills and have the ability to meet deadlines and to maintain and process accurate and timely records.

You will be responsible for monitoring and collating Health and Safety returns and Risk Assessments for Family Hubs.

The role is varied and interesting and we can offer opportunities for personal training and development within the service.

You will be part of a wider West Kent team offering support to colleagues and service users from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday., This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

A confident telephone manner and excellent interpersonal skills

- A flexible attitude to working across a wide geographical area

- An excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and other IT applications

- Experience of customer service and previous administrative background

- The ability to prioritise a busy workload
