We are looking for a skilled Business Support Specialist to join our team and help us deliver cost-effective, compliant, and strategic procurement solutions across the business., To manage supply contracts, ensuring cost-effective delivery that meets industry standards and supports Network Rail’s business objectives. Utilize specialist expertise in a specific category group to drive strategic procurement and business service activities. Take ownership of and deliver effective post-contract management to ensure ongoing value and compliance., · Manage supply contracts to achieve the most cost effective delivery of goods and services.

· Engage with and support internal and external stakeholders to understand future business strategies and support delivery of an up-to-date supply and demand plan

· Manage effective relationships with customers and suppliers and deliver day-to-day supplier relationship management for nominated specialist areas.

· Provide management information to the business, as required.

· Review, monitor and authorise supplier invoices and application for payment in accordance with company policy, standards and supporting information systems.

· Assist in the design, introduction and operation of relevant process management systems

· Hold regular contract management meetings with key stakeholders, suppliers and customers to identify tangible improvements in value and service levels

· Manage the collection, review, analysis and support of category and supplier data for particular categories, to support the development of innovative category strategies. Advise the supply chain on alternative suppliers.

· Identify and implement quality and efficiency improvement initiatives.

ü Demonstrable experience in contract management, procurement, or supply chain.

ü Strong understanding of procurement regulations and industry standards.

ü Expertise in post-contract management and supplier relationship management.

ü Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

ü Ability to apply strategic thinking to deliver business goals.

ü Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.

ü A proactive problem-solver with a passion for continuous improvement., · Knowledge of the supply chain and the relevant supply contracts.

· Experience of contract and supplier management.

· Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

· Commercial and negotiation skills.

· Able to work under pressure.

· Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisational skills.

· A customer focussed approach.
