Full Job Description

Working in our busy and friendly Trading department, you will be responsible for the sourcing of new products and treatments to offer our valued customers, ensuring stock availability, building, and managing supplier relationships and supporting our sales channels.

Overall purpose

To ensure sufficient stock availability to achieve overall sales and margin targets.

To action sales channel requests promptly and effectively.

Key responsibilities

Achieve individual, team and company Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).

Negotiate supplier retro's, promotional support, and rate card funding.

Ensure product details are updated on internal systems to include correct weights and dimensions.

Liaise with internal customers promptly.

Process special purchase orders.

Update all promotions and NPD in line with agreed deadlines.

Keep the Trading Manager fully informed of any current/impending problems.

In the absence of any Trading team member, cover their priority tasks.

Undertake any other duties, within reason, as defined by the Trading Manager and Head of Trading and Digital Marketing

Maintain 'good housekeeping' standards, ensuring tidiness, safety and good working practices are adhered to.

Stock

Monitor slow moving stock and propose actions to remedy to Trading Manager.

Regularly review minimum/maximum re-order levels and forecast stock where required.

Raise and place replenishment orders with approved suppliers, ensuring continuity of stock levels within minimum/maximum levels.

Stock profiling and supply chain experience.

Demonstrable track record of achieving targets.

Numerate, good analytical skills and strong attention to detail.

Ability to be flexible and to work under pressure.

Customer focussed.

Challenges appropriately and identifies areas for improvement.

Optimistic.

A strong team player.

Positive and resourceful.

Hours of work

The hours of work are 39 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm Friday 8.30am - 4.00pm.,
