Full Job Description
We are recruiting for a person to join our procurement team and work as a buyer. This can be a site based or hybrid role. A desire to have a long term career as a buyer is ideal as training will be provided. You will be responsible for acquiring from internal/external sources all tangible and intangible orders which are key for running; maintaining and handling the company's primary and supporting activities at the most favourable conditions. Maintaining inventory, handling and developing the supply base in the interest of ensuring continuity of supply and the required standard of vendor performance: reliability of delivery; quality; flexibility; price; payment terms; EHS.,
- Sourcing nominated product category groups/items including formation and implementation of sourcing plans.
- Completing purchase orders to defined specification (in terms of required quality and quantities).
- Placing orders with the supplier, ensuring authorisation of purchase. Requisitions / orders / agreements in accordance of agreed limits.
- Monitoring and control of the order (expediting) to ensure delivery schedules are met and delivery dates on orders maintained to reflect any agreed changes.
- Maintaining inventory for nominated products/suppliers allocated in accordance with agreed ROP guidelines.
- Ensuring goods ordered are imported according to relevant freight regulations; customs and excise rules and internal import processes/procedures.
- Ensuring purchases are within Company Purchasing Policies and Procedures.
- Monitoring and process required Repack requests in a timely manner, in order to maintain agreed inventory levels.
- Assisting in the formulation and review of Purchasing systems and procedures.
- Ensuring efficient operation of Visitor control systems.
- Providing Management Reports and critical metric information to agreed schedules.
Excellent communication skills. - Good IT skills- Excel in particular.
- Team working experience.
- Ability to work on your own initiative.
- Training will be provided.
