Our team shape projects that connect communities and impact daily life for millions. Join our Regional Civils team as a Buyer and build new futures! This role is supporting projects based in the North East and will require occasional travel to sites. What you'll be doing As a Buyer you will be responsible for:

  • Fulfilling requisitions on behalf of the business
  • Projects POC for the North East Delivery Unit, to provide support, resolve queries and offer advice
  • Ensuring internal spend compliance
  • Sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations
  • Conducting tender processes
  • Supplier meetings and engagement
  • Creation of Supply Chain Strategies
  • Management of Procurement Schedules
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders
  • Identifying key trends or opportunities for cost reduction
  • Negotiating discounts and savings & ensuring accurate reporting of such along with value add activities
  • Supplier performance management
