Full Job Description

Procurement Heads are looking to recruit a passionate and ambitious Buyer to join a well established, global manufacturing business with headquarters near Weybridge, Surrey.

Our client has in excess of 50 sites across the UK and Ireland and are seeking a commercially minded Buyer to take ownership of the currently out of contract facilities spend across the sites and production facilities.

If you have had previous exposure to looking after tail end spend, managing services spend or tendering within Indirects then this is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact in an exciting organisation.

This client offers a hybrid working model of 3 days a week in their Surrey office. You will be part of a 10 strong procurement team and an exceptional culture which includes progression opportunities and a range of social activities.

The role:

Manage costs for procurement of facilities related services for UK and Ireland company sites

Support business areas with their facilities spend, focusing on tail spend up to 25,000

Act as a relationship manager with stakeholders, ensuring procurement engagement and service levels.

Analyse spend, identifying opportunities to consolidate and create framework agreements.

Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions

Reduce tail-end spend suppliers in the UK and Ireland through consolidation

Mitigate supply risks by identifying high-risk suppliers and creating risk mitigation plans.

Drive supplier relationship management initiatives to extract value and promote supplier innovation.

Develop and execute category plans for cost reduction, risk reduction, and process improvement.

Participate in service level reviews for major contracts, resolving commercial issues.

Identify and implement improvements in procurement-to-pay processes or related areas.

Manage performance issues with suppliers and review contract terms to mitigate commercial and legal risks.
