Buyer (Home Based)

The Buyer will deploy professional suppler selection and contract management practices and provide operational procurement support to colleagues., Your main duties will include:

• Managing supplier performance, holding regular review meetings and monitoring KPIs, implementing improvement plans where necessary
• Operational management of supplier contracts, including managing supplier catalogues and placing purchase orders
• Drive the uptake of e-procurement and negotiated framework agreements

  Worked within a Procurement team and has experience partnering with colleagues to develop specifications and recommend appropriate sourcing strategies
• Able to negotiate with suppliers to deliver cost savings and favourable contract terms
• Possess strong analytical skills and be able to produce useful intelligence
• Used purchasing systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft GP
