Full Job Description

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient completion of maintenance routines and breakdowns.
  • Carries out routine and specialised maintenance of relevant equipment and other similar types of equipment.
  • Ensure maintenance work is executed according to +2, +1-week schedules.
  • Submit maintenance notifications.
  • Provide technical support to contractors and the C&P team.
  • Actively report and resolve safety-related issues on the plant.
  • Participate in Outage and T&I (Turnaround and Inspection) work scope preparation and execution to ensure long-term asset reliability.
  • Support external Environmental and HSE audits.
  • Supports the Long-term plans - including replacement of obsolete equipment
  • Supports the C&P Apprentice recruitment and development program.
  • Coordinate and assist supervisors, technicians, and specialist contractors while on-site.
  • Promote safe working practices by adhering to site procedures and safety requirements, ensuring compliance with ATEX and IEC61511 (SIL) standards
  • Actively report and resolve safety-related issues on the plant.

    The successful candidate will have a demonstrated strong background in instrumentation/electrical/control and technical competence. You will need to have a good knowledge of refinery operations and process control systems, temperature, level, flow & pressure monitoring.
  • In addition, you should have completed a recognised technical apprenticeship and ideally possess a HNC/HND qualification. We are looking for a minimum of 2 years' experience within a relevant large petrochemical or similar heavy industrial environment. You should also have a good understanding of ATEX / IEC61511(Sil). You should be IT literate with strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
