CAD Design Draughtsman

Due to the continued growth of the business, our client now has an opportunity for a CAD Draughtsman to join their team. You will be working as part of the in-house Design Team, with responsibility for a various and interesting project across the Midlands, working on behalf of some of the UK's leading Tier 1 contractors., As the CAD Design Draughtsman, you will be responsible for producing technical drawings for flat roofing systems.

• Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings


• Producing fabrication drawings to bespoke requirements


• Communicating directly with clients to determine requirements


• Liaising with manufacturing providers


• Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans


• Updating 3D models and drawings


• Checking drawings for sign off
  
  The ideal candidate will come from a roofing and/or cladding background, or a construction main contracting background.


• Proficient with CAD Software such as AutoCAD to produce technical Drawings


• Experience in creating construction drawings


• Basic excel skills and good mathematics


• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities


• Effective communication and teamwork skills


• Experience working with flat roofing systems (desirable)
