CAD Detailer / Drafts Person – New Forest

R.A.D Engineering Limited is a family-run steel fabrication business based in Beaulieu near Southampton. We are looking for an individual with Autodesk Advanced Steel software experience to assist with our expanding business.

Job Role

· Liaise with clients, architects, project managers and directors to produce drawings based upon required specifications.

· Check accuracy of third-party drawings prior to implementation.

· Produce accurate fabrication drawings for the workshop

· Communicate with and help the fabrication team to understand plans and answer any questions regarding the plans.

· Quantify the materials required for each project

· Produce drawings to assist with installation of steelwork

· Manage your own time to ensure project deadlines are met.

· Maintain records and file paperwork as required

· Proficient interpretation of architectural design, construction and manufacturing drawings.

· Experience in producing detailed structural drawings using Advanced Steel, AutoCAD or an equivalent CAD package.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Excellent time management skills, prioritising workloads effectively to meet deadlines.

· Self-Motivation. Successful applicants will be able to work independently and work well within a team.,
