Full Job Description

Our CAD technician will be part of a small, friendly team in our Energy Assets Network division and will be responsible for liaising with colleagues to assist with collation of all as-laid data, test certification and submission of records for ongoing and completed projects.

  • someone with the ability to remain calm and in control of a demanding and varied workload in an often pressurised environment
  • Previous experience within a CAD or technical drawing based role
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and an ability to create, read and modify technical drawings.
  • IT skills and demonstrable experience using computer-aided design software such as AutoCAD and Solidworks
  • The ability to transfer, display and manipulate data using Microsoft Office and other programmes.
  • Attention to detail to create accurate and detailed as-laid dimensions and liaise with colleagues to assist validation accuracy and quality.
  • Communication skills and relationship building with colleagues and network owners to understand and interpret their designs and specific requirements
  • Ability to prioritise own workload, and knowing when to appropriately escalate issues or questions
  • Attention to detail, and a pride in providing accurate and timely support
  • Strong problem solving and issue resolution ability
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • First class customer service skills
  • Previous industry experience an advantage
