Full Job Description

  • Scope and purpose of job:
  • To supervise the cafe areas effectively, efficiently, and positively under your control. Specialist with coffee and general maintenance of all the machines and coffee service. To deputise in the absence of the Cafe Manager. Job Responsibilities The following responsibilities are associated with this job role:
  • To support the Rise cafe manager and ensure daily tasks and general preparation is met to a timely manner and always with a positive attitude, this is from serving meals, snacks, production of coffee and beverages from all service points to a standard required by the client, Vacherin, and the Catering Management team.
  • Greet all clients with fast, friendly, personalised service and develop a rapport with clients by learning their names, favourite drinks, and food items.
  • The allocation of duties, organisation of staff productively and efficiently and ensure staff achieve the required Company standards.
  • To ensure that all coffee machines are running to the best of their ability and always producing excellent coffee.
  • Ensure all counters are kept clean and tidy.
  • Operating the Lolly till system efficiently and accurately.
  • Responsible for the training of staff to ensure we have consistent service of coffee and working closely with our coffee provider to bring innovation, creativity, and speciality coffees to our customers.
  • To support the Cafe manager, and complete monthly, a stock take using the Caternet system.
  • Health & Safety, Food safety, the Environment
  • To be responsible for carrying out duties related to environmental sustainability and social responsibility, such as waste audits, recycling, responsible water & energy use, etc.
  • To ensure all equipment is well maintained and is in good working order.
  • To make recommendations for renewal and replacement of equipment when required.
  • To establish and maintain location cleaning schedules.
  • To attend all health and safety training courses as required.
