CAFCASS - FCA - Private Law - Across London (Croydon Office)

CAFCASS is seeking an experienced Family Court Adviser (FCA) to work within Private Law, supporting families through complex legal matters. Based in London, this role requires a skilled social worker to assess and represent the interests of children involved in family court proceedings, including cases related to child arrangements and parental disputes., Case Management: Manage private law cases independently, working directly with children and families to provide thorough, evidence-based assessments and recommendations for court hearings.
Safeguarding and Risk Assessment: Identify and assess any safeguarding risks or welfare concerns for children involved in cases, ensuring that their best interests remain central to all decisions.
Reporting and Court Representation: Prepare high-quality, concise reports for the court, and present findings as needed, using expertise to support the court in making informed decisions.
Collaboration: Work effectively with legal representatives, family members, and other professionals to develop safe and sustainable child arrangement plans.

Qualification: Qualified social worker with current registration with Social Work England.
Experience: Strong background in private law, family court settings, and direct work with children and families.
Skills: Excellent report-writing skills, attention to detail, and confidence in presenting in court.
Knowledge: Familiarity with CAFCASS guidelines, safeguarding policies, and relevant family law legislation.
