Full Job Description

The CAMHs team is part of a supportive and innovative child and adolescent mental health service (CAMHS) in Southampton. The aim of this service is to support a child/young person in continuing with their mental health recovery at home with their families with the right support and most importantly the least restrictive., The successful candidate would be professionally registered and be supported to work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures. The CAMHS team is a strong and supportive team and has excellent structures to offer regular supervision and support.

The post holder will work under supervision of senior colleagues to develop skills to become an autonomous and accountable nurse within our integrated teams. This will involve the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care provided and effective liaison with all agencies involved with the service user.

This is a new role within the CAMHS West portfolio and is an exciting development opportunity for a Band 5 nurse to gain experience working across the Specialist CAMHS team.

You will be working alongside an established CAMHS team at an important time in our development. It really is an exciting time to be joining Southampton CAMHS as we push forward with implementing new ways of working in order to best meet the needs of the population we work with.
