Full Job Description

This is a training role within the Child and Young Persons Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Programme (CYP-IAPT). The post-holder will work within the Bristol, North Somerset & South Glos CAMHS service at Avon & Wiltshire Partnership Trust, providing interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role at the University of Exeter.
This intensive training post will equip the post holder to provide interventions based on CYP-IAPT core principles and an evidence based intervention consistent with their training course. The post- holder would be expected to attend and fulfil all the requirements of the training element of the post., In order to meet accreditation level you will complete 200 hours of practice over the course of the year. You would be working with children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties such as eating disorders and self-harm.

The course is assessed via both clinical and academic work, including the following:

+ supervision reports
+ reflective logs

We are in the fortunate position of being fully funded for 4 CYP Psychological Trainings- Systemic Family Practice practitioners, in both Eating Disorders (2) and Depression, Self Harm & Conduct Disorders (2), to start their training at Exeter University in January 2024. We are looking for exceptional individuals who are dedicated to working with children and young people and are keen to take up this excellent opportunity of a permanent post which includes a year of intensive training at the University of Exeter, and within the CAMHS workplace.
