Full Job Description

Assistant Practitioner/ Nurse Associate for RNDA training programme within CAMHS East and CAMHS West, The programme will be delivered at the University Centre Somerset campus in Taunton therefore you will need to be prepared to travel to Taunton each week. There is financial support available for travel in line with our organisation's expenses policy., This is a fast paced role with no two days being the same. As an RNDA, you will be based within the CAMHS East or CAMHS West teams for 15 hours per week, where you will:

Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings

Conduct assessments and deliver 1-1 work with young people

Support parents and contribute to Tier 3 CAMHS services

Programme Structure

7.5 hours per week: Taught day at University Centre Somerset

15 hours per week: You will undertake placement blocks across the patient pathway of Mental Health nursing, a mixture of inpatient, acute, community and specialist placement area. You will also undertake a "cross field" placement.

Passion for mental health nursing and working with young people, To be considered for this opportunity candidates must have the following:

Experience within either mental health or children and young people's services.

GCSE Maths and English A-C/4-9 or functional skills at Level 2. Certificates will be required

Level 5 Qualification (Either Nursing Associate or Assistant Practitioner. Certificates will be required

Must be prepared to travel to placements within the County of Somerset and weekly visits to University Centre Somerset, Taunton

Complete Accredited Learning Application for:

As a government requirement for Apprenticeship funding, to be eligible to undertake an Apprenticeship, all candidates must be a UK resident or resided in the UK for at least 3 years with right to remain in the UK., GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths

L5 qual as NA or AP

Experience in MH or Experience in CYPS, UK Driving licence holder with ability and willingness to travel as required throughout Trust sites

UK resident or resided in the UK for at least 3 years with right to remain in the UK
