Full Job Description

This is an exciting time within Worcestershire CAMHS, anopportunity has arisen to recruit Senior Mental Health practitionersinto Tier 3 Core CAMHS service to work across a selection of locations acrossWorcestershire. The service is under going significant development withadditions of new pathways such as Non Violent Resistance (NVR) complimenting the already establishedCBT and DBT pathways, Specialist Family therapy offer, Psychotherapy pathway, under5s services whilst working closely with our other CAMHS specialist teams suchas Childrens eating disorder team, Anchor, Mental Health Support teams inschools and the Crisis and Home treatment team . There are significantopportunities for training and development for staff with new staff workingthrough an induction and training plan within the first 12 months with robustsupervision provided. The service isworking towards becoming a neurodivergent affirming service and the Trust is aTrauma Informed organisation. This post has beendeemed by the Trust as eligible for relocation expenses which will beapplicable for suitable successful candidate(s). Please see attachedpolicy for more information Main duties of the job You would work clinically within the Worcestershire Core CAMHSservice. You will assess young peoplewho have been referred into the service, complete therapeutic (partnership) workwith a designated caseload, attend MDT meetings, team meetings, provideconsultation and advice to other professionals and attend statutory & mandatorytraining. You will work alongside wider CAMHS services where required and canbe part of service developments and provide supervision and shadowingopportunities to new or more newly qualified staff. You will be based at one of the following sites, Aconbury(Worcester hospital site), Kidderminster Health Centre or Redditch Town hall. We endeavour to assign you to a base that best suits your personal circumstanceshowever at times travel will be required to other bases, this will be paid aspart of the Trust claiming expenses policy.   • Extensive post registration experience in mental health care including mental health assessment and risk assessment
  • Use of therapeutic interventions within mental health settings , 1 : 1, counselling, family therapy and group work

  • Liaison across Tier I-IV CAMH Services

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats
  • Appropriate and adaptable verbal and written communication
  • Able to undertake audit
  • Able to undertake risk assessments within Mental health
  • Qualifications Essential
  • Professional clinical qualification RMN / OT / Social Worker etc.
  • Evidence of post registered clinical qualifications / training or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of training to a minimum of post graduate diploma level
  • Current registration with relevant professional body
  • I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer

  • Specific qualification in a relevant therapeutic speciality CBT, DBT, Counselling

  • Working knowledge of Health Service
  • Working knowledge of mental health issues in CAMH Services
  • A good knowledge of own professional guidelines such as NMC / HCPC
  • Good knowledge of recognised disorders and illnesses in the field of mental health
  • Understanding of a range of communication styles when working with children and families in distress
  • Hold an interest in a specialist area
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act
