Full Job Description

To appraise the CAMHS Clinical Nurse Specialist and MDT of the young person's progress and observations of changes in their mental health condition and ensure these changes are documented on the electronic record

  • To have a close working relationship with the CAMHS Clinical Nurse Specialist and nominated care co-ordinators
  • To regularly meet with the supervisor and manager to ensure the post holder is supported to carry out the demands of the post
  • To ensure that all care services provided are offered without prejudice regardless of age, creed, gender and ethnicity
  • To be aware of diverse cultural and ethnic needs and facilitate appropriate support and care
  • To support clients with activities of daily living, support to attend school, appointments and therapeutic interventions.

  • Good standard of education (to include Maths and English GCSE grade C or above or equivalent
  • Desirable criteria
  • Trainee Nursing Associate Qualification
  • NVQ or higher in Health and Social Care related field, Experience of working autonomously and using own initiative
  • Experience of assisting in the assessment of CYP and implement agreed care plans
  • Experience of working with children and young people with mental health conditions
  • Ability to manage distressing and challenging situations
