Full Job Description

The Community CAMHS South Team are looking for an experienced Trauma Therapist / Trauma Specialist to join our dynamic and evolving service.
The Community CAMHS South Team supports Children, Young People and their families/carers with their emotional and mental health needs on a continuum of mild to severe. This is an opportunity to prove high quality, evidence based trauma assessments and interventions to Children and Young People., To work collaboratively as part of the Community CAMHS South Team providing specialist trauma assessment, formulation and interventions with young people and families. You will also act as a lead professional / care-coordinator for service users, co-facilitate group work, liaise with systems connected to the young person and the multidisciplinary team within the Community CAMHS., The CAMHS Trauma Specialist will work as a member of the Community CAMHS South Team and contribute to the multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for an agreed caseload and will contribute to all aspects of team functioning as required.
You will work with a variety of agencies to ensure a quality service is provided. You must be an experienced Registered Nurse, Social Worker, CBT Therapist or equivalent qualification and membership of a registered statutory body e.g. NMC, BABCP. We especially welcome applicants with post-qualification training in trauma (e.g. trauma focused CBT, EMDR etc).
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
