Full Job Description

As CAMSS Manager, you will be a pivotal member of our team, responsible for overseeing and managing the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) activities for the Royal Air Force fleet of 22 A400M aircraft. You will be responsible for the Base Maintenance Planning, Technical Records, OMP, configuration and Military Airworthiness Review. This role involves working closely with the military customer to ensure that all maintenance operations are conducted efficiently and effectively, supporting the RAF's critical defence output. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Develop Comprehensive Maintenance Plans: Create and manage detailed, long-term maintenance schedules for aircraft, ensuring all necessary inspections, repairs, and overhauls are planned and executed in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with wider Airbus service teams to ensure information is delivered to key departments to support Airbus delivery of the performance base service.
  • Customer facing: Work alongside RAF personnel to coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with military requirements and operational readiness.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance planners, BMLE, Technical records, OMP and MAR, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Deputise for Head of Technical Support Operations in their absence.

    Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance planning, with a strong preference for experience in military aviation environments.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of military aviation regulations, maintenance procedures, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with military aircraft and defence operations.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams., This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.
