Are you a current University of Leeds undergraduate student, looking to gain valuable experience as a Residence Life Intern?
We are looking for a current Leeds undergraduate student to join us as an Intern in an organisation recognised for its high quality of service provision, commitment to excellence and good practice. Our Internships are designed to enhance your employability and as such you will develop key skills and experience for your CV, including team work, interpersonal and communication skills, initiative, organisation, high quality administration and project development.
Residential Services provide accommodation for around 9,000 University of Leeds students in self-catered and catered sites, both on and off campus. We are an innovative and strong leader in the sector, with a clear vision to provide some of the best student accommodation in the country.
As part of our strategy to provide high quality accommodation and excellent service, Residence Life within Residential Services helps to make a student's experience in residences the best it can be. Our dedicated team provides advice and guidance throughout a student's stay in halls whenever they need it. They also provide an annual programme of events and activities to help students settle in and connect with others in their community.
Residential Services have also designed a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001: 2015. The ISO 9001: 2015 quality standard is informed by over 120 countries around the world.
What are the benefits?
As a Residence Life Intern you will:
o Develop key skills and experience for your CV, including team work, interpersonal and communication skills, initiative, organisation, high quality administration and project development;
o This placement will provide an opportunity for an intern to assist us to deliver a Residence Life, staff-led programme of events at University of Leeds
o residence sites. You will also help to organise & deliver community & welfare initiatives at the residences to enhance the student experience;
o Benefits for the intern include gaining experience of working in a complex organisation, understanding professional decision making, understanding the quality management system Residential Services use to deliver excellent customer service and student experience. Developing personal skills including teamwork, communication, presentation, and organisation and planning skills.
As the intern you'll work to assist our Residence Life Manager, Assistant Residence Life Manager, and Residence Life Coordinator in the above.
