We currently have a vacancy for an exciting new role at Coleg Cambria. Campus Wellbeing Advisor will support activities that improve the mental health of our learners. Here at Coleg Cambria we place our learners at the centre of all we do. Therefore, the main role of a Campus Wellbeing Assistant will be to help and support our learners so they feel fully included in our college community. If you are friendly and enthusiastic, with an understanding of trauma informed and positive behaviour approaches then this may be the perfect role for you. You will need to be competent in facilitating a conversation about wellbeing and mental health and to effectively refer and signpost students to other services when required, whilst also recognising and reporting any potential safeguarding concerns., The promotion of the welsh language is an essential part of the work we do.   • Level 2 English and Maths qualifications (or equivalent) at Grade 4 (C) or above
  • Able to demonstrate previous experience of coaching and supporting individuals.
  • Recent experience working with learners with wellbeing and/or Mental Health needs.
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment to and awareness of the importance of Safeguarding
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge around mental health and wellbeing and the impact on learners.
  • Ability to motivate learners to achieve their targets and maintain motivation and positivity.
  • Able to appropriately talk to staff and students about standards, expectations and hold difficult conversations.
  • Ability to guide staff and learners through positive behaviour approaches.
  • Demonstrate a good level of IT competence. Must be able to navigate the Internet and Intranets as well as being willing and able to learn how to use new IT packages and systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in order to deliver individual and team objectives
  • The promotion of high professional, moral and personal standards in all aspects of the organisation, subscribing to the Nolan Principles.
