We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, with good interpersonal skills and a passion for patient care, to work with us at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Within the existing infrastructure of the RDC, you will be working alongside a team of established clinicians, specialist nurses, and cancer care co-ordinators to provide care for patients found to have incidental findings, which could be metastatic cancer, and those referred with non-specific symptoms. You will work closely with colleagues in Acute Oncology and CUP, plus other established cancer pathways., The role involves the co-ordination of care from referral through to diagnosis and onward care and management by the appropriate team. You will have regular contact with patients, families, and carers to support, signpost and ensure effective progress along care pathways. You will work in close liaison with Trust colleagues and other departments across the hospital, and community to achieve this.

You will be expected to attend the multi-disciplinary team meetings with the wider team and transcribe MDT outcomes live / complete the MDT outcomes using NHS IT recording systems.

We are inviting applications from highly motivated individuals with excellent communication and keyboard skills. You should have NHS experience and be passionate about cancer care. In return we offer the right candidate an opportunity for further training and development.

Based at Friarage Hospital, Northallerton, you will be expected to work across sites to support clinics at The James Cook University Hospital and Guisborough Primary Care Hospital as required and be adaptable & flexible in your approach. Currently the service is Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm.

If you think you have the right skills, are confident, organised and can prioritise and plan your own work efficiently and effectively in a busy environment, we welcome your application.

Leadership and Improvement Training

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the New and Aspiring leaders programme, and the Foundation Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. After you complete this one and a half day of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
