Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual with passion for providing gold standard care for patients who have cancer. This role will work within a team of Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) and lead consultants within the Gynaecology cancer team, if you would like to work in a friendly, passionate and caring team then this role could be for you. You will be providing a supportive role to the team, and will be providing administrative and tracking role, you will work in collaboration with the nursing team and to support patients through their cancer pathway., Triage incoming calls, initiate appropriate response according to assessment tools, protocols and individual pathways, liaising with the CNS team as appropriate Provide basic telephone advice and refer or signpost to other sources of support Coordinate the necessary assessments, appointments, investigations as per the patients care plan, including the use of the somerset cancer register system Document and monitor aspects of care coordination and service delivery Resolve issues which are perceived barriers to patient care Assist people to access appropriate information and signpost as appropriateWorking for our organisation Join us at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, where our passion for excellence drives everything we do.
