Full Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Cancer Specialist nurse OR Senior AHP with strong cancer experience to join our Specialist nursing service at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust on a short Secondment. The person will be responsible for assisting the Cancer specialist nursing teams to deliver Health and Wellbeing support to patients and their families as part of the Personalised Care Agenda. These events are to be developed and set up in a sustainable way utilising current workforce and charitable organisations. Unfortunately this project must finish end of March 2025 due to funding completing., You will work closely with other members of the specialist nursing, AHP (Allied Health professionals) and MDT team across both oncology and surgery. Liaising with primary care and other specialist teams, to ensure that patients are supported throughout their pathway.

  • Significant post-registration experience.
  • Cancer specialist nursing/AHP experience
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience of multidisciplinary collaborative practice
  • leadership and exceptional organisational ability
  • IT and data analysis skills
  • Project Management, Diploma/Degree in nursing or AHP equivalent
  • NMC registration or speciality equivalent
  • Desirable criteria
  • MSC in relevant subject to role, Cancer experience
  • 2 years Band 6 working
  • Knowledge of Cancer treatments
  • Knowledge of Health and well being support
  • Desirable criteria
  • Previous Health and wellbeing experience - delivery/setting up, Good communication skills
  • Evidence of working with multiple specialities
  • IT Skills
  • Understanding of personalised care agenda
  • Desirable criteria
  • Project management, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
