Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our Cancer Services Team, within the Corporate Division of Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust (WUTH).

Regionally, the Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance (CMCA) leads the delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan ambitions for cancer across our local system through collaboration with partners with the aim of improving outcomes for patients and improving performance against key operational standards.

This role involves supporting the Cancer Project Manager with the development and delivery of the Rapid Diagnostic Service (RDS) projects at WUTH. This will include the production of project documentation, the organisation of meetings, liaison with colleagues and the creation and maintenance of project files.

The post holder will also manage, independently, smaller scale projects and be heavily involved in working with clinical and operational teams across WUTH. The role requires the post holder to be in close contact with the RDS team members.

The job will be based at Clatterbridge Hospital but will involve cross site working between Clatterbridge Hospital and Arrowe Park Hospital.

The working pattern will be Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Each day will include a half hour unpaid break.

Secondments will be considered but applicants must seek their current line managers approval before applying for the role.

The post holder will be the key project support to the Rapid Diagnostic Service (RDS) Team. They will organise and administrate RDS meetings and assist in the development of presentations and reports. They will assist with the development and delivery of a broad range of RDS projects and maintain project management tools such as project action logs.

Excellent computer / keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office particularly Word and Excel are essential.
