Full Job Description
Your main responsibilities will involve:
- Managing and inputting to strategic business plan (IBP)
- Ensuring delivery of projects to time, cost and quality
- Ensuring integration between projects across IT, Data, Facilities, Security and Cyber
- Managing contractor and supplier relationships
- Managing prioritisation of the portfolio and maintaining dependency management in cross-functional programme deliveries
- Impacting re-prioritisation of project and their dependencies in the integrated portfolio
- Stakeholder management and reporting of project delivery activities
- Assurance of project governance and risk management, An exciting and unique opportunity for a Capability Delivery Manager has arisen to join the DTD&I management team in the FalconWorks line of business. As a Capability Delivery Manager, you will be reporting to the DTD&I Service Delivery Unit (SDU) Business Partner and managing a team of Project Managers whilst also working with Project Managers across the broader DTD&I SDU. You will work closely with FalconWorks Capability Planning Manager to identify and shape future needs of the business. This includes working with Entities within the FalconWorks business. This role is required to manage the portfolio of Information Management and Technology (IM&T) and Facilities Infrastructure Projects within DTD&I across the FalconWorks line of business and will provide you with the opportunity to work in a high-profile area, offering the opportunity to influence and cultivate the way we work. The successful candidate will be a confident, forward thinking, proactive self-starter with the ability to plan and prioritise workloads and work under pressure. An excellent communicator who can interface at varying levels within the business. The role is based at Warton, but the successful candidate will also be required to travel to locations within the UK when required. Why BAE Systems? - Demonstrable experience in IT and Facilities Programme Management
- Degree or HND in an IT related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Experience of budget management
- Stakeholder management experience at all levels
- Previous experience of defining strategic IT solutions
- Previous experience managing third party suppliers Desirable:
- Experience in cyber assurance and physical security
- Managing campaigns and bids
- Use of Atlassian Jira and Confluence
