Counter Fraud, Compliance and Debt (CFCD) brings together all operational units dealing with fraud investigations, compliance checks, interventions, debt and NINO applications. The CFCD National Delivery Assurance Service (NDAS) is a key part of the CFCD organisation and decision-making process providing a central point of focus around resource planning, performance monitoring and the delivery of cross cutting functions such as recruitment and training. These are exciting roles at the heart of Counter Fraud, Compliance and Debt (CFCD) which includes reaching out across DWP, Other Government Departments and external organisations. They provide a great opportunity to develop ability and build a portfolio of skills, experience and knowledge. You will need to be highly organised and able to deal with colleagues at all levels. You will need to show flexibility and be able to adapt to changing priorities, demonstrating effective negotiation skills, work at pace and to very tight deadlines. You will be an effective communicator, actively engaging with colleagues and stakeholders. You will ensure you keep up to date with how the business is developing, how your work is set against business priorities and your role in supporting that, whilst striving continually to improve the performance of your team. We have a variety of roles on offer in the following teams: Recruitment Team This role ensures the efficient and effective use of resources in the recruitment of colleagues across CFCD.

  • Operate within a nationally dispersed team, providing recruitment services for the whole of CFCD.
  • Be aware of, and fully adhere to, current DWP Policies regarding recruitment.
  • Work collaboratively and inclusively across CFCD, DWP and externally. Demonstrating strong and effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • To provide key critical 'expert' recruitment function efficiently and effectively across CFCD.
  • Effectively manage own work to agreed timescales with a strong focus on quality. Respond and act within agreed timescales, anticipate and manage customer and business expectations.
  • Managing a central inbox dealing with all enquiries.
  • External Learning and Apprenticeship Procurement Administering the procurement of external learning and apprenticeships in adherence with DWP policies, adopting a proactive approach to seeking best options for the business.
  • Maintaining appropriate IT documents which are used to monitor spend, the progress of commissions and provide an audit trail.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations and engage with stakeholders virtually and face to face.
  • Undertake evaluation of the learning and apprenticeship solutions procured.
  • Build and maintain network across a wide range of stakeholders to achieve progress on shared objectives.
  • Work with other team members to support the delivery of new commissions and ad hoc requests as needed.
  • Capability and Professions Team (x1 role) Counter Fraud and Professional Standards Unit (GCFP) (x1 role) CFCD recognises the specialist skills and experience required to tackle fraud, bringing the counter fraud community together under common sets of standards. The GCFP team helps members of the profession gain recognition and credibility for their specialist skill set, and have access to the standards, guidance, and products to help develop their careers in Counter Fraud.
  • Carry out research and collate information Supporting the development of career pathways within CFCD.
  • Build and maintain network across a wide range of stakeholders to achieve progress on shared objectives.
  • Provide G6 Business Support - the post holder must act appropriately and independently with an understanding of confidentiality involving a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with other team members to support the delivery of new commissions and ad hoc requests as needed.
  • Undertake appropriate training for the role, seeking to constantly improve performance through personal development and share knowledge and expertise with colleagues across the Team.
  • Maintaining databases and associated administrative tasks.
  • Work within the team to update and maintain the SharePoint sites.
