Capital Accountant

The Capital Accountant is responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of all capital elements of the Capital Budget, and medium-term financial strategy which they will work with senior officers to produce. This will include reviewing and evaluating all Capital Business Cases. The role will also include maintenance and development of the Trust's Fixed Asset Register (FAR), including the setting up of new projects/assets, ensuring that the records are complete, up to date and accurate and being accountable for the integrity of the capital elements of the Trusts core accounting systems and records. The role will take primary responsibility for providing accurate and timely information on all capital works including projects and monitor costs against budget, cash-flow related matters against budgets, reforecasting and long-term plan indicators.
