As a suitable candidate, you will demonstrate excellent project management skills combined with strong leadership and people management experience. In addition to leading and developing internal colleagues, you will also be able to manage relationships with the Trust's external professional consultants, suppliers, and contractors. We are seeking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and self motivated Project Manager to join an award winning Capital Projects team. The successful candidate will oversee the end to end planning and delivery of a wide range of capital projects from conception through to completion, with responsibility for all aspects of project management as well as managing the appointed external design teams., Relevant HNC/ Batchelor Degree ( Engineering, Surveying, Architecture or Project Management) or equivalent specialist knowledge and experience
Evidence of recent further professional development

Desirable

NEBOSH Construction Certificate
Recognised Project Management qualification to practitioner level (PRINCE2 or APM)
Staff management training courses
Member or a recognised professional Body (CIBSE, IHEEM, RICS, ICE or RIBA)
Training in the use of Microsoft Project or equivalent

Previous or relevant experience necessary

Essential

Detailed knowledge and significant experience of the management and successful delivery or large and/or complex construction projects from inception to completion following all RIBA stage gates.
Experience of successfully delivering construction projects within a live NHS acute Trust setting.
Experience of managing external design and professional consultants and contractors.

Desirable

Significant experience of staff line management and development, including HR management, leadership and career development
