Full Job Description

The Cardiac Risk Management / Secondary Prevention & Rehabilitation Service is looking for an enthusiastic forward-thinking fitness instructor to join our team. The role is mainly to help run the cardiac exercise sessions at River Bourne Club in Chertsey., The post holder will:

  • Work as an autonomous practitioner promoting physical activity and exercise to patients following a cardiac event.
  • Run the cardiac rehab exercise classes mainly at River Bourne Club in Chertsey, and occasionally at Ashford Hospital
  • Conduct functional capacity test as part of patient's assessment
  • Assist in delivering the education sessions at River Bourne Club
  • Assist in the maintenance of exercise equipment

    The successful candidate should have experience in promoting physical activity, providing, and managing exercise programmes. He / she ideally is BACPR -trained, or other equivalent training.
