Cardiac Rehab Physio

An opportunity to work within a small team of Physios, Nurses and Assistants delivering a comprehensive Cardiac Rehabilitation programme to people with a variety of cardiac conditions.

You will be responsible for supporting patients through their rehab journey. This will include mobility and functional capacity assessments, organising and prescribing evidence based interventions and assessing their effectiveness. You will also help to educate patients and encourage them to develop healthy lifestyle habits.

Furthermore, you will participate in service audits and you will have the opportunity to actively assist in service development projects., Maintaining and developing the exercise component of the service according to national guidelines and research.

Leading group and one to one exercise sessions.

Monitoring and evaluating patient progress, adjusting the programme to gain optimum benefit for the patient.

Advising / teaching patients and carers on returning safely to preferred activities.

Taking responsibility for health / safety within the cardiac rehab environment.

Liaising with other health professionals both in and out of the Trust.

Contributing towards the development of the service and supporting the service leads and colleagues.
