As a Band 5 Nurse/ODP you should act as a role model, showing evidence of the specialist skills and knowledge that will enable you to deliver prescribed treatment and care for patients in an individual and sensitive manner.
In the absence of a senior member of staff you will take charge of the clinical area.
You should be able to liaise with the multidisciplinary team to ensure care is provided in a co-ordinated and collaborative manner. The Nurse/ODP should maintain contact with the patient's relatives and friends and provide access to information and support.
Following the orientation period the post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision and is required to demonstrate procedures, supervise unqualified staff whilst maintaining a safe working environment
To be flexible in approach to the clinical area and provide cover for any area specified.
To lead the planning and co-ordination of effective timely transfer/safe discharge of patients to their next area of care
To take part in the on-call rota, providing 24/7 emergency care cover., the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Opportunity to work in the Southwest Regional Cardiac Surgical unit
We are looking for Band 5 Scrub theatre Practitioner to work in this exciting and dynamic surgical speciality. This post is open to both qualified and newly qualified practitioners.
You will be part of the team covering all aspects of Adult cardiac surgery 24/7 including Valve replacement /CABG/Minimally invasive/Stented valve implant/Hybrid working/Major Aortic surgery.
We are the Regional Adult Congenital Centre and are looking to be part of the developing Regional ECMO service.
The successful applicant would be expected to work up to 35 hours a week, Monday - Friday including on calls over weekend periods. These are rostered in advance.
