Full Job Description

The Digital Transformation Team are responsible for the development and effective management of emerging technology, overseeing the ordering and allocation of IT new trial equipment, supporting the implementation of the Digital Strategy, and providing accurate timely statistical information. Creating effective relationships with stakeholders and technology partners to improve service provision where IT is the enabler. As a Corporate Apprentice you will be supported in the workplace to develop the skills you need to make an effective contribution to our Service. You will be provided with a range of workplace activities and experiences, as directed by the manager, and will undertake a range of duties and learning opportunities including, but not limited to, those listed below, whilst also undertaking and completing a relevant Apprenticeship qualification.

  • Learn to undertake System Support tasks, including troubleshooting, system maintenance, and user support.
  • Learn to collaborate: Working within a dynamic team environment, fostering collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Assist the team with activities related to system development and improvement of the service, identifying opportunities for improvement, and monitoring the implementation of new software.
  • To assist the team with sourcing and allocation of IT equipment for teams within Adults, Housing & Communities.
  • To contribute to the effective day to day operation of IT systems, assisting the team carry out system management functions, monitoring, reporting and recording any faults.
  • To assist in producing accurate and timely reports including statistical information.
  • To assist with scheduling upgrades and security backups of systems.
  • To assist the team with activities to examining existing IT and business models and help identify new requirements.
  • To participate in project tasks relating to system development and implementation, developing, and updating project plans and co-ordinating the necessary work.
  • To assist the team with the co-ordination of new systems, ensuring new versions are tested and implemented effectively including data migration
  • To participate in tasks related to the implementation of new systems implementation and data migration.
  • To provide assistance and support to other staff and managers regarding the correct operation of IT systems.
  • To play an active part in the Digital Transformation Unit, ensuring that good communication is maintained within the team and contributing to the work of the team as a whole.
  • To communicate with stakeholders and any other interested parties in writing and by telephone.
  • To carry out any general duties as reasonably required including maintaining records and to provide monitoring information as required.
  • To actively support the work of the team regarding the development and use of current and emerging technology.
