Full Job Description

The Energy & Sustainability team (part of the One Planet Cardiff team) engages and works with a network of staff across the council working to tackle the impacts and causes of climate change, both in relation to the Council as a business and the wider city. This role will support the team with carbon reporting and data presentation for the Council and individual Directorates within and for the city of Cardiff.
Assist with collating, maintaining, analysing data and creating charts in relation to support carbon data reporting using relevant software eg Excel, PowerBi, Microsoft Office applications and bespoke Council systems.
Support the team with tasks to ensure the accurate and prompt recording and handling of data for the organisation as a whole, individual Directorates e.g. energy, fleet, procurement emissions data and the City of Cardiff.
Assist the team deliver a range of carbon reporting related administration and business support tasks including meeting organisation and administration, maintenance of records and provision of data.
Assist in the formatting, maintaining quality assurance and the presentation of key data or documents (particularly Excel spreadsheets) in order to provide consistency in carbon reporting and presentation across the organisation and Directorates.
Assist with enquiries and act as a point of contact for requests
Assist the team with activities to support Council Directorates with carbon reporting research and data collation and eg review of carbon reporting business practices.
Support carbon reporting project planning, implementation and governance
To be proactive, adaptable, and responsive to change
To assist with the provision of a high-quality service - this may include developing homeworking skills for some roles.
To support internal and external customer requests and ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
To communicate with a range of internal and/or external customers as required
To assist other team members in the carrying out of their duties
To work with others to carry out duties linked to the section in which the Apprentice is placed.
To undertake and complete all training and development experiences as required.
