Full Job Description

The role involves working closely with the cardio-oncology multi-disciplinary team to treat and support adults with cancer who have or are at risk of cardiovascular complications. After a period of supervision and support, the CNS will be expected to review patients on the wards, formulate clinical management plans, recommend, and coordinate cardiac investigations and arrange appropriate follow up.

The CNS will also run outpatient clinics alongside a consultant and registrar.

The post holder will act independently/autonomously within the cardio-oncology team to manage a caseload being guided by best practice, trust policies and national/European guidelines.Flexibility across the cardiology specialism will be required to support services and provide cross cover.

The cardio-oncology CNS will have the opportunity to learn from oncology/haematology teams about novel cancer therapies.

This post requires a five-day week commitment (37.5hr) without night, weekend or bank holiday working.
