Full Job Description

We are looking to appoint two Cardiographers who are enthusiastic, motivated with a passion for caring to join our dedicated team in Cardiology. The unit provides a range of cardiac diagnostics for inpatients and outpatients both on site at Musgrove Park Hospital and at the Taunton Diagnostic Centre. As a Cardiographer you will work as part of a large multidisciplinary team and will play a key role in delivering the fundamentals of care for patients. Individuals should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills who are willing to learn and take on new challenges as the service develops. Main duties of the job Experience of working in a care setting would be advantageous but all necessary skills training, professional updates and mandatory training as appropriate to the post will be provided., For the main duties and responsibilities for this role please read the attached job description and person specification. Essential

  • Keyboard skills.
  • Able to use relevant computer software.
  • GCSE English and Maths
  • Desirable
  • SCST Accreditation
  • Non accredited training for recording ECG.
  • Knowledge of broader issues affecting the Trust and the cardiology department.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to perform role.
  • Experience Essential
  • Good interpersonal skills with colleagues and public.
  • Desirable
  • Developed working relationships with other staff in the Trust.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to take on additional responsibilities in the Unit.
  • Experience as a Cardiographer.
  • Competency to perform accurate diagnostic tests.

  • Ability to manage and plan your own workload.
  • Good health / attendance record
  • Physically able to carry out the duties of the post
