Full Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for the administrative duties required for the smooth and efficient operation of Cardiology service's activities, uploading documents to local databases, scanning and uploading documents onto the Electronic Data Management system, documentation of incoming reports and all aspects of data entry, and providing ward admin cover when required. They will carry out audit activity and deal with telephone queries covering both administrative and clinical queries. The post holder will report to the local Assistant Service Manager.
Responsible for administration/clerical duties within the department to ensure the efficient and effective day to day running of the service. Referral processing by managing E-RS, and ensuring data quality with the referrals is up to
standard., Deal with telephone enquiries from patients and professionals in a polite, courteous, helpful and confidential manner using the multiline telephone system. Resolve and respond to queries on behalf of the service where appropriate. To field and forward calls as necessary.
To provide support and cover for other administrative staff within the team. Any other admin duties as instructed by the Assistant Service Manager.
Be able to work under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail at all times to ensure delivery of the service in a diagnostic patient-centred working environment. To alert the relevant members of staff to any ideas or suggestions for improving the quality of service
which the service provides. Maintain a professional relationship with immediate colleagues of all grades, other departmental
staff and service users.
