We now have an exciting opportunity for a Care Assistant to join ourincredible team (35 hours per week, Day shifts) at Greenhill Care home.

Our wonderful team at the Greenhill care home is looking for a caring, approachable,enthusiasticCare Assistant to join their team. Youll need a can do attitude, with a drive and determination to learn new things and a passion to deliver high quality person-centeredcare to our residents.

What youll do!

Supporting people with all aspects of their daily life, including social and physical activities, personal care, mobility and meal times.

Duties may include:

The delivery of a high standard of support to our residents in all aspects of their care and daily living, including physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

Assist in care planning demonstrating an understanding of person-centeredcare.

Participate in providing a stimulating environment for residents.

Promote holistic care for residents

Assist in bathing and dressing of residents respecting dignity

Assist residents at mealtimes

Correct use of hoists and manual handling needs

Adhere to Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults(SOVA) standards

Monitoring individuals conditions by taking their temperature, pulse, respiration and weight, and possibly helping with medication

Building effective relationships with relatives and next of kin in order to fully support the delivery of high-quality care to residents.

What we are looking for!

You dont necessarily need qualifications to become a Care Assistant. Whats really important is that youre kind, compassionate and thoughtful.

Mission Care has had the privilege of providing residential and nursing care to vulnerable adults in South London for over 110 years, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional person-centred care to all of our residents.

It may help to haveexperience working in a nursing home environment and an understanding of dementia ora social care qualification. Dont worry if you dont have these though if youre interested, you can work towards them once you start and if you're new to the care sector mandatory training will be provided.
