Full Job Description

Waterlees Supported Living service are looking for a new Care Services Team Leader. Our service is rated "Good" by the Care Quality Commission, and we are striving to become an "Outstanding" service. Do you have the desire and ability to support us to achieve this? Waterlees is a 15 bed supported living home for people with a variety of support needs. There are 9 flats in total, 6 are single occupancy and 3 are 3 bed shared occupancy. Each person living at Waterlees has their own tenancy which we provide the appropriate level of support to maintain. Our ultimate aim is promoting an inclusive environment in which everyone is encouraged to maintain independence, choice and control in the care and support that they receive. You will be joining the management team and will be responsible for many areas including supervising a group of staff, auditing records such as support plans, ensuring safe staffing levels, arranging training, attendance/performance management and more. You will also be expected to provide direct support when required, which can be very rewarding and fulfilling. A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.   • Demonstrate a commitment to providing high quality care and support, and maximising independence;
  • Be responsive to meet the changing needs of a 24/7 service. Must be able to work flexibly and participate in a staff rota that incorporates working weekends and bank holidays;
  • Have the ability to assist with the moving and handling of people using available equipment;
  • Have supervisory/managerial experience OR suitable level of experience in a social care setting;
  • Have the ability to analyse information to be able to reach defensible decisions (demonstrating the use of risk management tools);
  • Demonstrate sound regulatory knowledge on the Fundamental Standards set by the Care Quality Commission.

    Salary: Grade 9 £31,074 - £33,294 per annum (pro rata for part-time) Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week (Must be able to work flexibly and participate in a management rota that incorporates working weekends and bank holidays between the hours of 7am-10pm)
