Care & Support Assistant
Early Evening Team

We want you to have a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents. You'll need to be naturally compassionate and understanding of others.
Previous care experience is not essential, a full induction and training programme will be provided to support you.

Pay rate: £11.75 - £12.00 per hour
Hours: 20 hours per week
Shift : 6.00pm - 10.00pm
Includes alternate weekend working
Due to continued expansion we are looking to welcome kind, caring and compassionate people to support our residents at Fern Brook Lodge residential care home, which is a hub for the community in Gillingham and the surrounding villages of North Dorset.
The early evening team are key, to setting the home ready for our residents to enjoy a comfortable evening ahead.

What you will be doing:

- Identifying the needs & abilities of our residents and delivering excellent person centred care.
- Supporting & encouraging our residents to remain as independent as possible.
- Providing elements of personal care including washing & dressing where needed.
- Building relationships and providing companionship.
- Working in a team to create a co-operative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the home.
