Assist in delivering a high standard of holistic care to patients in a friendly, respectful and professional manner.
Promote patient dignity and privacy.
Assist in the orientation of patients and new staff to the ward environment
To support a patients basic admission procedure in preparation for clinician assessment.
Contribute to and interpret care plans accurately and consistently
Carry out delegated care tasks such as escort duty and to encourage with patient daily living activities such as personal hygiene and self care.
Assist at mealtimes to ensure patients have an adequate diet and a meal of their choice and bring any problems to the attention of the Registered Nurse or Shift Co-ordinator
Assist patients in keeping their bed areas tidy and their possessions safe.
