Career Grade Principal Accountant

The post supports a wide and varied portfolio within Bolton Council's Corporate and Place Directorates. You will be helping the Council to tackle our complex and diverse challenges by providing strategic finance support, challenge and the insight that our services need to optimise budgets and resources for the benefit of our residents., This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English as per the person specification.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic career grade principal accountant who is forward-thinking and solution focused.

The right candidate will ideally:

Have a track record of achieving solutions.
Be resourceful and determined.
Have excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to adapt.
Have an ability to work effectively, in partnership, with people at all levels from a variety of disciplines.
Be proactive, with the drive and ability to succeed and deliver against tight deadlines.
Have experience working in a similar role within a Local Authority, or other experience that can contribute to our team.
Have excellent Excel skills

Grade G to Grade H scp23 £32,076 to scp31 £39,186 per annum, dependent your qualifications and experience.
2 Year Fixed Term Contract
