Full Job Description

Job Purpose: To co-ordinate careers education, information, advice and guidance across the school. To provide inspiring and best practice careers advice, guidance and support on subject options and post school choices. To provide a clear strategy for careers guidance across the school.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Build positive relationships and manage pupils' behaviour effectively within a school environment.

  • Be proactive, resourceful and energetic.

  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues and parents / carers.

  • Develop strong links with outside organisation to create work experience / college placements for our pupils.

    We are a split site school with a primary provision at Trent Vale and secondary provision at Blythe Bridge. We have an amazing staff team who work tirelessly to support approximately 100 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

    We are seeking to employ an experienced and highly professional Preparation for Adulthood Advisor to work alongside a supportive, dedicated and enthusiastic staff team who are committed to delivering the best outcomes for our pupils. This person will be primarily based at our Blythe Bridge site, however, there will be a requirement to work across sites, as needed.
