Full Job Description
Support students applying to higher education with the UCAS application and preparation process,
including alternative routes to careers
- Prepare individual SMART Action Plans in the context of skills and employability, ensuring it's clear,
concise and person-centred, reviewing on a regular basis, ensuring both qualitative and quantitative
data can be extracted
- Provide information and advice relating to volunteering, education, training, employment, HE and
health & welfare
- Ensure data is handled with confidentiality and adhere to all related policies
- Advise the Careers Manager of issues that could/impact on the quality of service
Ideally two years of experience as a qualified advisor
- Some understanding of the Creative Industries (ideal not essential)
- Experience of engaging young people who have experienced barriers and challenges
- Willingness to participate in further training and development opportunities, Experience of supporting young people to develop resilience and motivation
- Organised and able to manage your own workload
- Flexibility in working with teams across the company
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Solution focused approach to professional relationships
- Resilient, determined to achieve goals and committed to the ethos of the college
Essential Qualifications:
- Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level 2)
- Minimum Level 4-6 IAG qualification
