Full Job Description
You will be our subject specialist in Mathematics and will be signing off the exams that our students sit every single series. From working with Development colleagues to manage the design of our syllabuses, you will then manage the lifecycle of a portfolio of syllabuses. You will oversee the production of all assessment materials associated with the syllabuses to ensure their successful delivery for learners. When not creating and signing off exams, you will work on grading, setting the thresholds that our learners are held to. With Mathematics being a key subject, recognised globally as a fundamental skill, you will be an incredibly important member of our Cambridge International team., Working with a range of stakeholders, you will definitely have a varied caseload. You will manage the recruitment of our Assessment Specialists, including Setters, Revisers, Vetters and Assistant Examiners. You will manage their allocation of work, performance and succession planning. You will work closely with our ministry customers around the world as you work collaboratively with them to develop and revise our syllabuses.
As one of our specialists in Mathematics, we are looking for you to have a degree in Mathematics, or a very closely related subject. Your standard of English will be very high, and knowledge of assessments in an education setting is very key here. You will have spent some time in the classroom as a teacher and may even have a knowledge of international education. Any post-graduate qualifications in educational assessment, project management, or experience in examination would make you incredibly successful in this role.
