Full Job Description

As our next Bookseller - Marketing, you will be responsible for devising, implementing and tracking the effectiveness of print advertising and social media campaigns, working with other colleagues in the bookshop and the wider organisation and beyond. You will also be responsible for maintaining our online presence in various websites and with local industry bodies. In this role, you will also:

  • Collaborate with academic sales and marketing colleagues to share ideas and opportunities.
  • Plan and deliver social media and advertising campaigns for the Bookshop.
  • Serve customers at the till, giving excellent customer service and handling money accurately.
  • Assist customers with a range of queries, including Cambridge University Press & Assessment titles, merchandise, and tourist information.

    To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate excellent creative and communication skills, and embody our values of being innovative, collaborative, and responsible, adapting to a constantly changing environment.
  • In addition, you will have:
  • Proven understanding and professional experience of using social media for business.
  • Advertising and marketing experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail.
